The terrorists are up to their old tricks again – using the threat of violence as a psychological ploy to intimidate voters before an election. But these terrorists don’t live in caves in central Asia, they head up federal agencies, governments, and Hollywood production studios.
Just as former Homeland Security chief Tom Ridge admitted that DHS would issue fake terror alerts shortly before elections in a bid to influence the outcome during the Bush era, the Obama administration is mimicking the same tactic.
Over the last couple of weeks we have seen an explosion in terror alerts, with the latest revolving around an alleged plot to launch Mumbai-style massacres on US as well as European cities.
Since it ultimately emerged that the mastermind behind the Mumbai massacre was CIA agent David Headley, warnings from the same intelligence agencies about similar attacks being planned should be treated as a direct threat. Throughout the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s, the Central Intelligence Agency played a key role in Operation Gladio, a program of false flag terror attacks on soft targets that were designed to demonize political opposition and “force the public to turn to the state to ask for greater security,” according to the testimony of Gladio agent Vincenzo Vinciguerra.
In 2000, an Italian Senate investigation found that the 1980 Bologna train bombing, which killed 85 people, was carried out by “men inside Italian state institutions and … men linked to the structures of United States intelligence,” so when federal agents claim they are radiating American truckers with x-ray devices in a bid to stop Madrid-style train bombings, which was the justification cited for a 4th-amendment busting travel checkpoint on Interstate 20 just west of Atlanta this week, their reasoning doesn’t hold much weight.

God is in the world, or nowhere, creating continually in us and around us. This creative principle is everywhere, in animate, and so-called inanimate matter, in the ether, water, earth, human hearts. But this creation is a continuing process, and 'the process is itself the actuality,' since no sooner do you arrive than you start on a fresh journey. Insofar as man partakes of this creative process does he partake of the divine, of God, and that participation is his immortality, reducing the question of whether his individuality survives death of the body to the estate of an irrelevancy. His true destiny as co-creator in the universe is his dignity and his grandeur." - Alfred North Whitehead.

Lt. Col. Shaffer said that he diligently worked through the manuscript to make sure that any information that would raise security concerns was not included. From the NY Times article:
In a brief telephone interview this week before Army superiors asked him not to comment further, Colonel Shaffer said he did not think it contained damaging disclosures. “I worked very closely with the Army to make sure there was nothing that would harm national security,” he said. But Pentagon officials saw it differently. They read the manuscript with the eyes of "guardians of the knowledge". Their censorship is reflective of the discredited attitude that National Security concerns are more important than exposing the truth and holding government officials accountable.
Government suppression of what is inherently public information goes beyond banning books by a very respectable army officer. It should be kept in mind that the U.S. government regards truthful information in the same way as the Soviet Union did. The truth, any truth, in the American government is like the infidel in Muslim lands, it is hated, and seen as the enemy. Any damaging fact about the government's prosecution of the war on terror is actively suppressed by the Pentagon, White House and CIA, and outspoken men with outstanding credentials like Lt. Col. Shaffer are ignored, or silenced.
Speaking on Fox News on September 26, 2010, Lt. Col. Shaffer said that he participated in many classified operations that he did not bring up in his book so as not to violate Army standards and U.S. law, and that everything in his book was already public knowledge. "The contention is by DOD," Shaffer says, "that even if it is in the public domain, it doesn't mean it isn't classified, so that's where there is a difference of standards."
Lt. Col. Shaffer described some of the redactions by the DOD as "loony" including their attempt to discard his official written testimony that he gave before the House Armed Services Committee in 2006. Shaffer said: "If I need to I will just ask the publisher to put an entire copy of my open testimony in the book. And so, that one I just said 'this is beyond the pale.' There were others like that, that were just really kind of loony. But, you know, I'm forced to go along it based on the process we've had to follow on this."
There is a bright spot, though. The book is number #8 on Amazon's bestseller's list, and many more people are now aware of Operation Able Danger because of the Pentagon's careless censorship. If they just ignored it, the public attention would not have been as large. Also, the government harmed itself because the popularity of the book will increase the public's understanding about the war in Afghanistan, and the overall nature of the war on terror.
It is a win-win for Lt. Col. Shaffer and the American people. And all thanks to incompetent Pentagon officials. Good job, dittoheads.
Lt. Col. Shaffer half-jokingly said; "I'm very grateful to the DOD about the way they've handled this in some ways because I couldn't have asked for a better publicity support on this." He added; "I did everything in my power, and I've continued to do everything in my power to assist them in what they asked to do. At one point in time, I was actually on my own dime, in New York City, with the publisher, going through and checking the redactions, even though I don't agree with them. . . .I sat there at the publisher's office and went through and made sure, and caught redactions they missed, so I fully cooperated every step of the way."
Finding the book's first version in a bookstore, or online sites is rare. One copy was sold for $2,025.00 on Ebay. Keith Thompson wrote a post about the sale in the Huffington Post, and said that he tracked down the seller to get more information. Thompson: "Via eBay, I contacted the New York-based seller, who detailed having bought the first-edition copy from a local bookstore. The seller declined to provide any information about the buyer or his whereabouts out of respect for the buyer's privacy."
The attention the book has received is considerable. Journalist Rebecca Schatz remarked that she's excited because it's a welcome anti-distraction in the world of news:
"His name is Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer and I think he may have one of the hottest books coming out of D.C. since "The Game Change". I'm personally so fascinated by him because his book is so real and so raw, even the Pentagon has said it's too much truth. I can find out who's dating who in Hollywood or the next celeb having a baby with the click of a button. But it's not everyday you get a glimpse into the life of someone in the military."If I didn't have to buy over expensive textbooks for school I would have money to buy Shaffer's book. Maybe I'll just read some if it in the bookstore. It is really a historical book. I hope it lives up to the hype. And I hope this isn't the last that we will hear of Lt. Col. Shaffer because he is raising important truths that could undermine the entire fraudulent war on terror (which is everyone's dream, right?) And I also hope there will be a sequel. Operation Disable Danger, or something like that. I will definitely buy that one.
Here is Lt. Col. Shaffer's interview on Fox News:
"It’s very difficult for girls to leave the profession. You see groups of former Devadasi becoming social activists and campaigners against the tradition. That’s one way out. Another is to become an educator or a social worker. There is a huge movement to try and stop dedications happening, and the impetus for that is coming from the grass roots. The former Devadasi women."You should read the whole article.
Harris also made a four-part documentary about the story for Vice magazine. Watch the first part here. It's not that long, plus its fascinating.

The first thing we must take back is not our liberty, but our language. We must speak out against the rebranding of political dissidents into "terrorists" and "extremists," and correct people when they ignorantly say that there is an "American Taliban" insurgency in America and that it threatens all Americans, or that radical activists in America, England, and Canada represent a greater danger to the public's security than the arrogant governments that we live under, and pay our taxes to maintain. The only extremists and radicals that keep me up at night are those individuals in our governments who start and defend illegal wars, declare and propagate lies, lock up innocent poor people in private prisons under the guise of the war on drugs, and steal the public's money to pay for secret government programs, and pay off wasteful and criminal banks.
It is a sign that freedom is under attack when governments pronounce politically engaged citizens as "terrorists" and "extremists," and put anti-war activists on government files. Last week, citizens of Minnesota and Chicago were targeted by federal officials as part of the global terrorism inquisition for their involvement in anti-war rallies. Mick Kelly, one of the activists who was searched and harassed by government officials, said: "The FBI is harassing anti-war organizers and leaders, folks who opposed U.S. intervention in the Middle East and Latin America."
That governments persecute anti-war activists, and individuals with anti-government views only seems natural, after all, doesn't the mob hunt down individuals that harm its enterprises? So I'm not shocked by any of this. But I am shocked that we as citizens in America, Canada, England, and around the world tolerate government repression, and government cruelty. We should stand for the global rule of law. America, and other nations in the West already decided in its history that individual liberty is the most important thing in this world.
But somewhere all that was forgotten. Now, America's founding fathers are openly mocked, and America's Bill of Rights is seen as an ancient document. In the last nine years the U.S. government has used its foreign wars as an excuse to justify police state policies against the American people, allowing U.S. officials in all fifty states to get away with using police troops against citizens during international summits and other civil disturbances while military troops are busy occupying other lands.
Occupation is not an alien concept to Americans. Black Americans were occupied like no other people in history, by their government and their fellow neighbors. Cornel West frequently talks about the significance of the terrorism that black Americans have experienced in American society, and how all Americans today can learn from their pain, and their resilience. West: "Jim Crow was a form of terrorism. America needs to know that. Our white brothers and sisters think 9/11 is the first time America has had experience with terrorism."
There is no color discrimination anymore. Everybody in America is under government occupation now, and targeted with government terrorism. It is the age of totalitarian terror. For the first time in history all countries in the West are cooperating together to install draconian measures which amount to the corporate occupation of their citizens.
The Western police state and the Western war on terror are interconnected policies. If one ends, then so does the other because the backside of all state warfare is state repression, which is often more ruthless because it is faceless. In a country where the people are occupied by their own government as opposed to a foreign government the foe is not marked solely by his army uniform, he could be your pastor, or she could be your neighbor. So it is today in America, and in other Western countries. Not everybody knows it, not everybody admits it, and not everybody dislikes it. But our state of affairs can't be described in any other way. We are all living under corporate/government/banking occupation. And it is a horrible thing to be enslaved by your own government, and your countrymen. Nobody benefits but plutocrats, sleazy politicians, faceless bureaucrats, and people who are either too blind to see that they are profiting off the misery of others, or could care less.
Allen Dulles, one of the early directors of the CIA, wrote about the nature of this kind of occupation in his book "Germany's Underground", saying:
"Occupation" by one's own government, however vicious that government may be, creates a very different popular reaction than that which springs from occupation by a foreign government. The victims of Nazi aggression fought the foreign invader, a clearly defined national enemy; but the German anti-Nazis were fighting against their own people. They were a minority opposed to something their compatriots either supported or tolerated. In fighting Hitler for idealistic reasons, they also had to fight some of the principles and ideas which gripped the German people--such as his social reforms and his attack on the "diktat" of Versailles. (1).Increasingly, individuals, and groups that oppose Washington's anti-democratic and militarist policies are demonized as traitors and domestic extremists by U.S. government officials. The story mentioned above of anti-war activists getting targeted, and harassed by the FBI is a classic case of how a government justifies overstepping its legal boundaries by declaring its own citizens as "extremists." And the shameful parrots in the mainstream media follow along in the state demonization and state repression. A good example is an article that was published in April in Mother Jones Magazine with the provocative title: "Oath Keepers and the Age of Treason."
U.S. government officials use labels like "treason" and "terrorism" to isolate political dissidents from the general public, and give the federal government more room to enforce unpopular policies on the whole population. That is why it is critical that all people in America, and the West, left and right, liberal and conservative, political and apolitical, black and white, citizen and immigrant, Christian and Muslim, Jew and gentile, rich and poor, stand up for everybody's rights, and don't fall into the trap that some of us are terrorists, and some of us are not, because the truth is that none of us are terrorists.
The only terrorists that we should be worried about are the terrorists who are plotting secretly within the highest levels of the American government in the name of the American people, and civilized values. All the criminal wars that currently engulf the Middle East spring from their murderous heads; and the police state policies that is keeping liberty on lockdown in the West were produced by their blood-inked pens.
There is a reason why Western, banking-owned regimes want us to associate political dissidents and protesters with extremists and terrorists. It is because they want us to learn to subconsciously denounce political dissidents and protesters, and to be afraid to speak up in defense of them when they are charged, arrested, detained, or killed. To avert such outcomes, we must reject the redefinition of political activism into domestic terrorism. Oppressive regimes that target a group of citizens with loaded language, and then turn their might against them must be resisted by all citizens. Words that are produced by systems of repression don't deserve people's critical attention, nor do their deeds deserve people's uncritical obedience.

An international lawyer says many now question the truth behind the 9/11 attacks, and that American citizens are demanding an international probe into the incident.
"Ahmadinejad is absolutely rational and correct on this, that the American people are now coming to the point of demanding an international inquiry (into the 9/11 attacks), " Franklin Lamb told Press TV.
The Beirut-based lawyer was referring to remarks by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in his address to the 65th UN General Assembly that the 9/11 incident might have been the result of an inside job in the United States.
"This call [for an international investigation] didn't start in the Middle East. It stated more than a year ago in Canada, in Europe, in Latin America, and increasingly in America itself," he continued.
"There are just too many questions raised by architects, by pilots, by experts, by engineers, by [US Department of] Homeland Security employees and the FBI," the international lawyer reiterated.

Global Research Editor's Note
The following text by Arash Norouzi first published by the Mossadegh Project and Global Research in January 2007 confirms that the alleged "Wiped Off the Map" statement by Iran's president was never made.
The rumor was fabricated by the American media with a view to discrediting Iran's head of state and providing a justification for waging an all out war on Iran. the article provides of media manipulation and "propaganda in action".
Iran is blamed for refusing to abide by the "reasonable demands" of "the international community".
Realities are twisted and turned upside down. Iran is being accused of wanting to start a war. Inherent in US military doctrine, the victims of war are heralded as the aggressor. The threat to global security comes from the US-NATO-Israel military alliance, which is now threatening Iran with a pre-emptive attack with nuclear warheads.
If Iran is attacked, we are potentially in a World War III scenario.
It is essential to dispel the fabrications of the Western media.
Iran does not constitute a threat to to Global Security.
Iran does not possess a nuclear weapons program. Iran does not constitute a threat to Israel.

Wiped off The Map: The Rumor of the Century
By Arash Norouzi
Global Research, January 20, 2007
Across the world, a dangerous rumor has spread that could have catastrophic implications. According to legend, 's President has threatened to destroy Israel, or, to quote the misquote, "Israel must be wiped off the map". Contrary to popular belief, this statement was never made, as the following article will prove.
On Tuesday, October 25th, 2005 at the Ministry of Interior conference hall in
, newly elected Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad delivered a speech at a program, reportedly attended by thousands, titled "The World Without Zionism". Large posters surrounding him displayed this title prominently in English, obviously for the benefit of the international press. Below the poster's title was a slick graphic depicting an hour glass containing planet Earth at its top. Two small round orbs representing the and Israel are shown falling through the hour glass' narrow neck and crashing to the bottom.
Before we get to the infamous remark, it's important to note that the "quote" in question was itself a quote— they are the words of the late Ayatollah Khomeini, the father of the Islamic Revolution. Although he quoted Khomeini to affirm his own position on Zionism, the actual words belong to Khomeini and not Ahmadinejad. Thus, Ahmadinejad has essentially been credited (or blamed) for a quote that is not only unoriginal, but represents a viewpoint already in place well before he ever took office.
THE ACTUAL QUOTE:
So what did Ahmadinejad actually say? To quote his exact words in farsi:
"Imam ghoft een rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods bayad az safheh-ye ruzgar mahv shavad."
That passage will mean nothing to most people, but one word might ring a bell: rezhim-e. It is the word "Regime", pronounced just like the English word with an extra "eh" sound at the end. Ahmadinejad did not refer to Israel the country or Israel the land mass, but the Israeli regime. This is a vastly significant distinction, as one cannot wipe a regime off the map. Ahmadinejad does not even refer to Israel by name, he instead uses the specific phrase "rezhim-e ishghalgar-e qods" (regime occupying Jerusalem).
So this raises the question.. what exactly did he want "wiped from the map"? The answer is: nothing. That's because the word "map" was never used. The Persian word for map, "nagsheh", is not contained anywhere in his original farsi quote, or, for that matter, anywhere in his entire speech. Nor was the western phrase "wipe out" ever said. Yet we are led to believe that Iran's President threatened to "wipe Israel off the map", despite never having uttered the words "map", "wipe out" or even "Israel".
The full quote translated directly to English:
"The Imam said this regime occupying Jerusalem must vanish from the page of time".
Word by word translation:
Imam (Khomeini) ghoft (said) een (this) rezhim-e (regime) ishghalgar-e (occupying) qods (Jerusalem) bayad (must) az safheh-ye ruzgar (from page of time) mahv shavad (vanish from).

By Dr. Paul Craig Roberts
On September 24, Jason Ditz reported on Antiwar.com that “the FBI is confirming that this morning they began a number of raids against the homes of antiwar activists in Illinois, Minneapolis, Michigan, and North Carolina, claiming that they are ‘seeking evidence relating to activities concerning the material support of terrorism.’”
Now we know what Homeland Security (sic) secretary Janet Napolitano meant when she said on September 10: “The old view that ‘if we fight the terrorists abroad, we won’t have to fight them here’ is just that--the old view.” The new view, Napolitano said, is “to counter violent extremism right here at home.”
“Violent extremism” is one of those undefined police state terms that will mean whatever the government wants it to mean. In this morning’s FBI’s foray into the homes of American citizens of conscience, it means antiwar activists, whose activities are equated with “the material support of terrorism,” just as conservatives equated Vietnam era anti-war protesters with giving material support to communism.
Anti-war activist Mick Kelly whose home was raided, sees the FBI raids as harassment to intimidate those who organize war protests. I wonder if Kelly is under-estimating the threat. The FBI’s own words clearly indicate that the federal police agency and the judges who signed the warrants do not regard antiwar protesters as Americans exercising their Constitutional rights, but as unpatriotic elements offering material support to terrorism.
“Material support” is another of those undefined police state terms. In this context the term means that Americans who fail to believe their government’s lies and instead protest its policies, are supporting their government’s declared enemies and, thus, are not exercising their civil liberties but committing treason.
Continued. . .
America is now into the tenth year of a national state of emergency that was put into effect by former President George W. Bush following the September 11 attacks on September 14, 2001, to accomplish the stated objectives of defeating international terrorist threats to the United States, curtailing the state sponsors of terrorism, and cutting off Al Qaeda and other sources of terror from a safe haven in the mountainous regions of Afghanistan. The whole world joined in agreement with America that these objectives are noble, and good, and sided with America in its rightful quest to bring justice to the barbaric men from whose hands a horrible injury was inflicted on a proud people."America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves." - Abraham Lincoln
Governments that were allied to the U.S. government, and other nations, including Iran, saw the benefit for all in vanquishing terrorists, and their enablers from the world. Each made the decision to participate in the international war on terrorism, and lend their resources to capture the clandestine operatives in Al Qaeda. Loyal armies were dedicated to this new cause, and reputations were put on the line, but nine years later no victory has been achieved, and no peace is in sight. Most people attribute the present loss of direction in the war on terror to the detour from the original mission of defeating Al Qaeda in 2003, when American forces invaded a guiltless Iraq, but this analysis fails to take into consideration the explosive evidence that reveal that Muslim hijackers were not the protagonists in the 9/11 attacks.
Upon a critical examination of the events of that day all rational and honest minds come to the painful, but right conclusion that it was not Islamic extremists who penetrated America's thick armor on September 11, 2001, and shocked all of America unconscious. Instead, the blame lies at the foot of the occupiers of the White House, and their partners in the rogue state of Israel. This discovery is difficult to accept, but it must be kept in mind that all things truthful are inherently good, and therapeutic, and by denying the truth out of hand there will be more harm in the world. The number of unjust deaths in the war on terror will increase every day if we continue to operate on the current lie that Muslims were responsible for 9/11, which is the main pillar in America's prosecution of its wars in the Middle East.
None can argue that the publicly stated goals in the war on terror are worthy of all our pursuits, but these goals must be laid aside in our historical calculations as they are not the true goals that the governments of America, England, Israel, and NATO are seeking on a strategic level. The true goals in the Western war on terror are the domination of precious natural resources, and vital lands in Central Asia, and the Middle East. Of course, these goals are not admitted by high-level U.S. government officials, but if we look at the actions of the U.S. government, it becomes crystal clear that these are indeed the goals that it is aiming to achieve. But they are failing in their imperialist endeavor because resistance to their occupation of foreign lands is too big to dismiss as Jihadist terrorism. U.S. Generals are leaving behind a trail of war crimes rather than the fruits of freedom, and democracy.
With this in mind, we can say with zero reservations that America's state terrorism is a greater obstacle to the progress of civilization and human rights in this century than any form of non-state terrorism. The horrific deeds that the administrations of Bush and Obama have done can never be equaled by Bin Laden, ever, not in a million years. And of these three personas one of them is a makeshift villain, while the other two are makeshift presidents.
Free citizens should never bow down to, or compromise with terrorists, regardless if they plan their evil schemes from inside the secret corridors of government, or in some cabin in the woods.
All this bears repeating because the truth about 9/11 is so strange, and out-of-this-world, that one sighting in the sky of one's mind is not enough for a person to give credence to it; there must follow echos upon echos that attest to the same reality. People are more prone to admitting a new truth if they see their neighbors admitting it first. I believe the main cause that explains the denial of the basic facts about 9/11 is human prejudice. Sure, much of the responsibility falls on the mainstream and alternative media who censor all information that does not correlate with the official government story, but a lot of it is self-censorship. Also, government and corporate spies spout out masterful propaganda, but they're not all powerful, so why do we lay guilt solely on these traitors?
The problem of denial is bigger than censorship and propaganda, it goes to the core of human psychology. The majority of men and women are motivated by herd instincts, and base their judgments based on opinions that they gathered in their childhood and youth. Add this with blind conformity, and sheepish acceptance of authority, and what you get is a society in denial of basic, scientific facts. Some people would rather believe in a total myth than admit that they are fools. Stupidity is an inherent feature in humanity, but we can correct this glitch in our nature through scientific, and spiritual enlightenment. We must constantly balance the weight of tradition and authority with the weight of new discoveries that are based on factual data, and never be afraid to speak new truths about anything.
Our knowledge of the world inside and outside us advances throughout history due to the work of exceptional trailblazers, and truth-tellers that appear in history generation after generation. This is still true today. And it is why we honor geniuses like Galileo, Newton, Tesla, Einstein, and Freud who helped us understand more about our nature and our world than what was known before they were born. There are few isolated geniuses, most build on the work of others who came before them, and contribute a few new ideas for those that come after, and it is this collaboration across time that makes us human. We will still be a work in progress far into the future, and that is perfectly alright.
The ignorant and the blind who are so quick to judge without taking a look at the facts will eventually accept what is obvious to others, mainly, that 9/11 was an inside job. I firmly believe this. The fire of knowledge disposes the ashes of ignorance, and turns wandering egoists into dedicated servants of the truth, and the cause of freedom. And it can't be extinguished; the more attention that is drawn to it, the larger it grows. And no matter the platform, or the speaker, knowledge is good in itself.
By reacting to 9/11 truth the way he did, President Obama is showing his true skin, and whose interests he protects. So far, he has followed the same course in the Middle East as the President before him. In his first weeks in office he explicitly expressed that his administration believed it was best to disregard the record of human rights abuses and war crimes by the former administration, move forward as a society, and save America from political turmoil at a critical time in the war in Afghanistan. The informed citizens in America were saddened by his backward policies but they were not shocked.
American Presidents can't deliver real change in Washington because they are nothing more than masked villains who do the bidding of the global plutocracy, and the entrenched special interests in America. Decades ago, Washington sided with the big Wall Street banks, and multinational corporations, and scrapped the rule of law, along with the constitutional promises that were made to the American people. American Presidents today are like lifeless housekeepers who exist to tuck the children in at night, and tell them fanciful stories about dangers that lurk far, far away, and monsters that silently creak underneath them when they are asleep.
Before they shut their eyes, the President promises the childish citizens that he will keep them safe through the night. In the following night, he tells another version of the same fearful story that he told the night before, except this time he adds new twists in the plot, and a new evil character. Last night the villain was Osama Bin Laden; tonight, it is Saddam; and tomorrow night, it will be Ahmadinejad. And this will continue until the children remember that the same story is told every night regardless if the storyteller is wearing a blue hat, or a red hat.
This is where we are today: at the beginning of another nightmare, which comes in a long series of nightmares. And Obama is playing his part. On Septemebr 10, 2010, he re-declared Bush's state of emergency as it relates to the ambiguous "terrorist threat," and recently said that a military strike on Iran is "not ideal," as if to say that a major war is inevitable, and regrettable at the same time. If this statement is not a symptom of state schizophrenia, then what is? Nothing is inevitable in life. Fate is not real. What is real is politics. History doesn't automatically happen, it is made, and it can be made by a greedy plutocracy who want to put in place a tyranny to guard their ill-gained wealth and power, or by people who desire freedom. As Theodor Adorno said; "The concept of fate, which subjects men to blind domination, reflects the domination exercised by men," (Prisms, pg. 70).
What should the American people, and the global community do to counter the current tyrannical paradigm? The solution is staring us in the face, and many of us know it because we have done it already: wake up. Although it is terrible to wake up from sleep on a bed of lies, it is a blessing compared to sleeping through another nightmare, and then finally waking up to a house on fire.
A recent unclassified report by the National Intelligence Council in partnership with the European Union's Institute for Security Studies called, "Global Governance 2025: At A Critical Juncture," lays out the necessary steps to establish binding agreements between nations to deal with global matters on a global scale. On the surface, global partnerships are a good thing, and should be encouraged, but when we find out that private central banks, and multinational corporations will profit the most in this new world arrangement, and ordinary people will suffer, then we must call for reform, and an open process to debate humanity's future. Freedom and the rule of law must be preserved in the new world order, or else, it will never come into being. The inner sun of liberty is a greater necessity for human survival than the outer fire of government.

9/11 Truth News
September 19, 2010
Attacked by the Left. Attacked by the Right. Attacked by “edgy” political comedians for scant, confused laughs – with no discernible purpose other than to discourage and further isolate those seeking justice. No matter if their political affiliation is Coke, or whether they lean hard towards Pepsi, everyone in the corporate mainstream media can agree that 9/11 truth is a target worthy of derision.
Yet, strangely, none of them can seem to get their story straight.
When left-wing commentators denounce 9/11 truth activists, the activists are derided as right-wing conspiracy freaks – lumped in with the Tea Party and various hate groups. When it’s the Right’s turn to attack, those seeking answers about 9/11 are uniformly painted as Bush-burnt America haters, the very worst of the left-wing losers.
Sometimes – just to mix it up – a lefty journalist will agree that 9/11 truth is indeed a scourge of the Left, and even concoct a bizarre conspiracy theory to explain it away.
When it comes to political humor in the corporate media, the drill is exactly the same.
Last week, comedian Jon Stewart of The Daily Show announced his upcoming “Rally to Restore Sanity” in Washington DC. Using 9/11 truth as an example of the “insanity” that plagues this country, Stewart mocked the cause as right-wing kookiness, the equivalent of believing Obama is a secret muslim.Continued. . .

While local banks are held in check by the new banking czars in Basel, Wall Street's "shadow banking system" has hardly been curbed by regulators at all; and it is here that the 2008 credit crisis was actually precipitated. The banking system's credit machine is systemically flawed and needs a radical overhaul.
On September 13, the Bank for International Settlements issued heightened capital requirements that will make lending even more difficult for local banks, which do most of the consumer and small business lending today. The new rules are ostensibly designed to prevent a repeat of the 2008 credit collapse, but they fail to address its real cause, which involves a "shadow" banking system that has largely escaped regulation.Continued. . .

As I remember, that has been a headline for everything from bad breath to dandruff sufferers to those suffering from body odors. The headline was ideal shame-making for manufacturers of mouthwashes, dandruff shampoos, deodorants and antiperspirants. And now it applies to our purported worst enemy, the President of Iran Mahmoud Ahmedinejad. That is, he’s telling us what none of our “best friends” in our government are saying, “that the American government may have been behind the 9/11 attack.”
After being greeted by a round of applause as he entered the U.N. General Assembly yesterday, September 23, Ahmedinejad was applauded again after his remarks. During his General Assembly address he called for a “U.N. fact finding group to investigate 9/11.” I hope their findings (if a group should ever come about) won’t be treated like the fact-finding results of Hans Blix, head of the UN’s United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission. His claims of no WMD in Hussein’s Iraq were ignored. As were the claims of orthodox Jewish Justice Richard Goldstone’s report on Zionist overkill in Gaza.
How about a fact-finding group of U.S. 911 Scholars, academics, scientists, architects, engineers, journalists, even celebrities who know? After all, it is about our country.
This is so disgusting. Ungrateful and uneducated bastards in FEMA are calling the men who gave birth to their country a bunch of terrorists. Where is their respect? It makes me mad. I hope this view is not widespread because it says a lot about our times that America's greatest patriots are called terrorists by federal government agents. It seems freedom needs to be won again. History needs to be made again. The line between individual liberty and government oppression in America needs to be drawn again.
I am not an American but I will do everything in my peaceful powers to assist in the recovery of America's precious freedoms.
May God bless America's founding fathers. We cannot allow their names to be tarnished.

Goethe: "Through experience and wisdom the value of the morally beautiful and good entered the conscious mind, for evil revealed itself as such by its consequences, which caused the destruction of the happiness of the individual as well as of the whole, while by contrast that which was noble and right generated and strengthened both individual and universal happiness. Thus the morally beautiful could become articulate as a doctrine and spread throughout entire nations." From Conversations With Goethe by J.P. Eckermann; Translated by Gisela C. O'Brien; 1964, Frederick Ungar Publishing Co., Inc. Pg. 105.
In an April 2009 interview on the "Little Atoms" podcast, Chomsky said, "My suspicion is that the Bush administration was very pleased with the rise of the 9/11 movement, because, whatever one thinks about it, I don't think much, but whatever one thinks about it, if you believe in it, its effect was very clear; it diverted people away from activism on serious issues. So, if you're spending your life trying to figure out whether there was thermite in building 7, and so on, you're not protesting the crimes of the administration," (0:41 to 1:18) in the video below.
Chomsky's point of view can be summarized in one word: wrong. There is no other way to put it. Smart men are not always right. Chomsky is a genius, but even he is plain wrong about the role of the U.S. government in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

"Terrorism" has become the most abused word in the English language. The fear of terrorism has driven explosive growth in the United States government, has led to two wars in the past ten years with possibly several more waiting in the wings, and has resulted in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people. Terrorism is a tactic, not an enemy. It consists of attacking a largely civilian population to demoralize it and reduce its willingness to resist either an aggressor or an occupying power. It has been used extensively in the twentieth century and so far into the twenty-first century because it is a force equalizer. It enables a resistance movement or a group seeking a change in government to attack a much larger and more powerful opponent. Because it has that ability to engage asymmetrically, one can expect that terror tactics will continue to be with us for the foreseeable future.

Yes, I know, as many readers will be quick to inform me, the West never had any morality. Nevertheless things have gotten worse.
In hopes that I will be permitted to make a point, permit me to acknowledge that the US dropped nuclear bombs on two Japanese cities, fire-bombed Tokyo, that Great Britain and the US fire-bombed Dresden and a number of other German cities, expending more destructive force, according to some historians, against the civilian German population than against the German armies, that President Grant and his Civil War war criminals, Generals Sherman and Sheridan, committed genocide against the Plains Indians, that the US today enables Israel’s genocidal policies against the Palestinians, policies that one Israeli official has compared to 19th century US genocidal policies against the American Indians, that the US in the new 21st century invaded Iraq and Afghanistan on contrived pretenses, murdering countless numbers of civilians, and that British prime minister Tony Blair lent the British army to his American masters, as did other NATO countries, all of whom find themselves committing war crimes under the Nuremberg standard in lands in which they have no national interests, but for which they receive an American pay check.
I don’t mean these few examples to be exhaustive. I know the list goes on and on. Still, despite the long list of horrors, moral degradation is reaching new lows. The US now routinely tortures prisoners, despite its strict illegality under US and international law, and a recent poll shows that the percentage of Americans who approve of torture is rising. Indeed, it is quite high, though still just below a majority.Continued. . .

It has been said that it requires a very unusual mind to undertake the analysis of the obvious. But is it unusual to want peace? Truth? Dwain Deets doesn’t think so, and the retired NASA director is determined to demonstrate that the official version of the events of 9/11 defies science. His lectures have been gaining popularity, and Deets will be speaking in Ventura to address some troubling questions about 9/11, from the perspective of science. Deets, a physicist and engineer, was the former director of NASA’s Dryden Flight Research Center’s Aerospace project and is currently a member of Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth. Having retired from a 37-year career, Deets has set out to show that the American public has been duped into the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. His goal is simple. Faith alone cannot end the wars abroad. But perhaps science can.
VCReporter: Of all the indications that the official 9/11 explanation is insufficient, what is the most glaring?Continued. . .
Deets: Building 7 is the most glaring. I think people can realize, after what happened at Building 7, that the public was not told anything close to what went on. I think you actually get kind of the same thing in all three buildings at the World Trade Center. So when I talk about them and the major problems presented, it will be with all buildings in mind. There are four main points: One, there is no historical precedent with steel-frame, high-rise buildings to have been totally destroyed due to fire. So you got a situation with no precedent, but it happened three times in the same day. These buildings supposedly came down due to fire, officially. Second, there is indisputable evidence that there were extraordinarily high temperatures, in the ground and it persisted for weeks. When I say indisputable evidence, I mean things like satellite imaging photos from NASA. They can measure the temperatures showing how it’s persisting weeks after the event. And there are eyewitnesses of molten metal and things that would require extremely high temperatures. There are a number of different elements that have been analyzed chemically afterwards, and it can only be explained due to extremely high temperature. There are a lot of tiny spheres. We refer to them as microspheres, and they are iron-rich. To be a sphere, they had to have been liquid, even to the point of maybe vaporizing because that is the way it would form into a sphere. The surface tension, as it cooled down, it would do so in a spherical shape. So that’s hard evidence that there had to be extremely high temperatures.

Especially left and liberal professionals and service intellectuals but also right-wing members of the intelligentsia vehemently attack and ridicule “conspiracy theories” such as the present 911 Truth movement.
It’s as though power did not covertly orchestrate its predation of us? Is that not the modus operandi of power?
Is it so difficult to believe that the complex and highly successful military attack on US soil that was 911 (levelling three gigantic sky scrapers, blasting a hole into the Pentagon, and destroying four commercial jets and their passengers) was not orchestrated by a religious zealot from a cave in Afghanistan and executed by failed Cessna pilot trainees with box cutters? Or that those who measurably benefited in the trillions had nothing to do with it?
What the hell? Not even (admittedly rare) authoritative mainstream reports seem to matter .
What ever happened to “war is a racket” and “follow the money”?
In rigorous compliance with the true meanings of "academic freedom" and "freedom of the press" virtually no academics or mainstream journalists have made it their research to find truth or to radically (at the root) question the establishment version.
Indeed, all the major and considered-radical academic pundits such as Noam Chomsky and Ward Churchill, have actively avoided the possibility that the 911 attacks could have been known or aided from within the finance-corporate-military complex.
What keeps them from crossing that line? What makes them demean attempts to cross that line?
Similarly, even outspoken dissident parliamentary politicians such as George Galloway have ridiculed the concerns of 911 truthers (at his last public talk in Ottawa).
Is such self and projected censorship by star intellectuals only the result of the fear of being mobbed by ridicule? Is asking these questions in public fora so dangerous?
When barred and suppressed Afghan Member of Parliament Malalai Joya was asked about 911 by a truther in Ottawa last year she replied that those who sought answers in this matter should address their questions to the occupiers of the White House. To this writer’s knowledge, this is the furthest that any politician has gone in this direction, coming from “the bravest woman in Afghanistan” no less.
But what shocked the present writer more is the derision to which was subjected the truther at the Malalai Joya Ottawa event, at the hands of an “activist” and “progressive” crowd.

This years new Project Censored 2011 Book has been released including numerous stories and references to the 9/11 cover up. On another level, however, I could care less that they continue to dismiss the obvious facts which point to a controlled demolition of all three buildings that collapsed on that day because the facts stands on their own regardless of anyone's recognition of them. The footage of Building 7 falling without zero resistance from below, and despite not getting hit with a plane, can't be erased from history. Likewise, the hypothesis that explosives caused the collapse of the three World Trade Towers by physicist Steven Jones, and the discovery of nano-thermite, which is a rare military explosive, in the WTC dust by Danish chemist Niels Harrit and a team of international scientists in Denmark, must be taken into serious consideration by anyone who cares about this world. Also, the numerous testimonies of eyewitnesses, including experienced firefighters, saying that they heard loud explosions that were distinct from the sound of a plane hitting a building, can't be shuffled away into the background of nothingness. These are facts that must be faced. They assemble a bridge to a saner, and happier reality that must be crossed.
I don't know what's behind the mental blindness that many Western journalists suffer from. Is it cowardice? Is it stupidity? Is it a false sense of superiority? Is it because they are too brainwashed to accept what are otherwise plain, and dry facts? Whatever is the cause for their mental limitations, I am sure that journalists of all political stripes will eventually break free from their government induced delusions, come around to the conclusion that 9/11 was indeed an inside job, and contribute their talents to the mighty cause of justice. I just hope that change within them takes place sooner rather than later because the number of victims in the wars that were launched after 9/11 increases every day. And every death is a tragedy because it could have been prevented if the lie was exposed earlier by journalists.
A big reason why many people in the West still believe in the 9/11 lie is because we haven't suffered the horrific effects of the lie, unlike the people in the Muslim world, especially in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. We don't experience violence and mayhem daily. We are sheltered in our homes, and sheltered by the corporate, and alternative media from the deadly effects of the lie. We are pampered babies, sucking on the media/government tit. But the Iraqi people are different because they know different. They see the face of terror everyday, and it's not the wrinkly face of Osama Bin Laden; it's the innocent-looking face of a young kid from Idaho, or Alaska.
And I am not exaggerating when I say that they bear witness to terror every single day. On Sunday, September 19, 2010, the lives of another fifty-six people were wasted in Iraq. Their deaths can be directly traced to the big lie that the Bush administration told the world in the morning of September 11. If stopping the murder of innocent human beings is important to you, so should the truth.
The truth was important to the late Bill Christison, a 28-year CIA analyst, and former director of the CIA's Office of Regional and Political Analysis. In August 2006, he wrote an article called "Stop Belittling the Theories About September 11," stating the reasons why he stopped believing in the official story. Christison:
"Lets address the real issues here. Why is it important that we not let the so-called conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11 be drowned out? After spending the better part of the last five years treating these theories with utmost skepticism, I have devoted serious time to actually studying them in recent months, and have also carefully watched several videos that are available on the subject. I have come to believe that significant parts of the 9/11 theories are true, and that therefore significant parts of the official story put out by the U.S. government and the 9/11 Commission are false. I now think there is persuasive evidence that the events of September did not unfold as the Bush administration and the 9/11 Commission would have us believe."It is easy to misinterpret people's fanaticism in the campaign for 9/11 truth and accountability as disturbing "cult" behavior that stems from backward, conspiratorial views about the world. It is much harder to give them credit.
If the 9/11 truth movement was a cult, then why would a veteran CIA analyst like Bill Christison join such a movement? He was completely sure that what he was told by his government was untrue. Was he also deluded? That's what the uncritical person would say. But such outdated stereotypes got old quick. Only cowards, and liars still repeat them.
No doubt there are wacky conspiracy theories out there, but a truthful and courageous reporter can use his critical mind to separate real, and explainable theories, from unreal, and looney theories. All it takes is a little effort, and some humility to admit one's prior failure to see what what was obvious to others.
I woke up in 2004, when the lies about WMDs were getting mainstream attention, so what ultimately convinced me that the Bush administration told a total lie about the 9/11 attacks was its pattern of lying, and concealment, as well as its use of false intelligence to sell the Iraq War.
British author John le Carré touched on the national insanity in America two months before the war started, writing in an article called "The United States of America has gone mad":
"How Bush and his junta succeeded in deflecting America’s anger from bin Laden to Saddam Hussein is one of the great public relations conjuring tricks of history. But they swung it. A recent poll tells us that one in two Americans now believe Saddam was responsible for the attack on the World Trade Centre. But the American public is not merely being misled. It is being browbeaten and kept in a state of ignorance and fear."Nothing has changed in the mainstream discourse in seven years. The American media is contaminated with stupidity, and traitorous spies, and it's tough to tell one from the other. Investigative journalist Robert Parry recently trashed the campaign for 9/11 truth and accountability, saying:
"The “truthers” even recycled many of the Right’s sophistry techniques, such as using long lists of supposed evidence to overcome the lack of any real evidence. These sleight-of-hand techniques obscured the glaring fact that not a single witness has emerged to describe the alleged “inside job,” either the supposed “controlled demolition” of the Twin Towers or the alleged “missile” attack on the Pentagon."Parry conveniently omits the collapse of building 7 in his attack, but it is normal for people to be ignorance about building 7 after all these years, so I'll let that pass. I'll only ask: Doesn't he have the curiosity to watch the tape of a building that collapsed into dust on the most important day in our lifetime?
What bothers me most is that Parry naively assumes that a government insider will just come out one day on his own accord , and spill the beans to the world about the 9/11 cover-up. Is he stuck in third grade? Is he a child? Surely he knows that Congress can keep secrets, large secrets, and that it can also be held in check through the suppression of information.
It is rare for individuals who are even partially involved in a criminal conspiracy to have a change of heart, and suddenly work for the force of good. Such individuals are not motivated by their conscience to speak out in public, they have to protect themselves and their families' well-being, and speaking out is a dangerous thing. What will pull insiders/government witnesses to the light, what will make them step forward and reveal their knowledge, is if a new criminal commission plays to their self-interest, and makes legal guarantees to them that they won't be convicted for their involvement in any crime that was committed by the government. Also, there are very few, high-level individuals who can fully describe how the 9/11 attacks were prepared and executed behind the scenes, and they will never face the public unless they are forced to.
We decide on what kind of justice we want. I think low-level conspirators should be let off the hook if that will ensure confidence in them to step forward and help the public understand the truth. Ending the illegal wars and ending the mass carnage is what is important and necessary, not the execution of every single individual who was involved in some way in the attacks. I believe the death penalty should be reserved for the highest criminals and conspirators, which means that a lot of people will go unpunished. And so it must be. Nothing in this world can be achieved without compromise, not even justice. So we must set our priorities straight. What is important is peace in the Middle East.
This age of government terror, and reckless extremism will only end if we are honest enough to be open to all the facts, smart enough to see what can be done about them, practical enough to achieve what must be done, and willing to compromise in the interest of a just, and peaceful world.
"The towers are gone now, reduced to bloody rubble, along with all hopes for Peace in Our Time, in the United States or any other country. Make no mistake about it: We are At War now--with somebody--and we will stay At War with that mysterious Enemy for the rest of our lives." - Hunter S. Thompson, September 12, 2001.
